1 – 2 daysEnriched Air (Nitrox)
Less nitrogen, longer bottom time, shorter surface intervals. PADI's most popular specialty.
Enriched air — nitrox or EANx — contains less nitrogen than regular air. Breathing less nitrogen means longer no-decompression limits, shorter surface intervals and less overall tiredness at the end of a diving day.
It is especially worthwhile if you are doing several dives a day over a holiday. Combine it with the Deep Diver specialty and the two work together beautifully.
- Dive with up to 40% oxygen
- Use an oxygen analyser
- Set up your dive computer for nitrox
