For children from 8 years old
PADI Bubblemaker
Bubblemaker is exactly as fun as it sounds — a chance for kids to blow bubbles by scuba diving, in water shallower than two metres, under the direct care of a PADI Pro.
Why children should learn to dive young
Learning scuba diving at a young age is an investment in a child's physical, mental and emotional development. Children who are at least 8 years old can use scuba gear designed for them — not adults — to breathe underwater and swim around in shallow water.
Have a party or celebrate a birthday by throwing a memorable, exciting Bubblemaker event with friends and family.
What the kids get to do
Learn about scuba gear
How to use equipment made for children, and why looking after the ocean matters.
Breathe underwater
Their first breaths underwater, in shallow water, supervised by a PADI professional the whole time.
Play games
Underwater acrobatics, an egg-and-spoon race and underwater toys. Fun first, always.
Learn safety
Water safety, hand signals, a little diving physics and physiology, and how to handle small problems like clearing a mask or equalising ears.
What about older children?
Junior Open Water Diver is a full scuba certification for divers who are at least 10 but younger than 15, and it takes only three days to complete. Junior Open Water Divers automatically become Open Water Divers at 15.
