Madonna Rock
Dramatic rock formations, swim-throughs and the richest reef life in Nha Trang Bay.
Keep calm and dive on.
What to expect at Madonna Rock
Madonna Rock is the dive site Nha Trang is known for. Dramatic underwater rock formations, swim-throughs and vibrant coral gardens drop away to a maximum depth of 30 metres, with an especially beautiful swim-through sitting at just 6 to 9 metres — shallow enough that even brand new divers get to enjoy it.
Expect hard and soft corals in every colour, clownfish, angelfish, butterflyfish and parrotfish, schools of banded barracuda, lionfish, mantis shrimp and nudibranchs. Starfish, sea cucumbers and urchins carpet the sea floor.
The best window is April through October, when the weather is calm, visibility opens up and sea conditions stay stable.
Highlights
- Swim-throughs at 6–9 m
- Schooling barracuda
- Macro heaven for photographers
- Suits first-timers and pros alike
