Healthy reefs, bamboo sharks and the An Thoi archipelago — a top Vietnamese destination.
Take the plunge into paradise.
What to expect at Phu Quoc Island
Phu Quoc Island, off the south-western coast of Vietnam, is renowned for exceptionally healthy and diverse coral reefs, clear visibility and a wide variety of marine life — including rarities such as bamboo sharks.
Popular sites include the An Thoi archipelago with its scatter of small islands, and Hon Thom, known for a breathtaking underwater scene of clownfish, butterflyfish, parrotfish, angelfish and lionfish among the corals.
Conditions suit beginners and experienced divers alike, and the season runs opposite to Nha Trang: November through April, when the weather is calm and the sea is stable.
