Get your feet wet — well, it will be a little more than just your feet. Two real ocean dives from our boat, with a PADI Instructor at your side the whole way.
What is Discover Scuba Diving?
Always wanted to breathe underwater? To explore a whole new world lying just beneath the surface? The PADI Discover Scuba Diving programme is designed for a first-time experience, giving you a fun and safe introduction to the underwater realm.
We think everyone should try scuba diving at least once — you need to see it and experience it for yourself, and believe us, it is worth it. If you are interested in diving but unsure about enrolling in a full certification course, this is the perfect way to test the waters.
Your day, dive by dive
Briefing
A full briefing on land and on the boat: equipment, hand signals, safety and what you are about to see.
Dive 1
Jump in and practise three basic skills in a shallow part of the reef — mask clear, regulator recovery and buoyancy — then swim off and explore.
Dive 2
More exploring. This second dive is usually easier and even more enjoyable now that everything feels familiar.
Afterwards
We log you into the PADI online database for 12 months, showing you completed the programme. It can also be credited into a Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver course — just ask your instructor.
Prerequisites
- Minimum 10 years old
- In good physical health
- Not a swimmer? No problem, as long as you feel comfortable in the water

Take the PADI Open Water course
Ready to become a certified diver? By the end of the course you will have the skills and knowledge to dive at home or abroad — and be an ambassador for the underwater world.
